The Executive Council of Algiers Province, under the leadership of the Minister Wali of Algiers, Mohamed Abdenour Rabhi, convened Wednesday evening to assess the progress of ongoing projects and discuss preparations for the holy month of Ramadan.
The meeting focused primarily on the status of programs and projects managed by the Directorate of Public Equipment. A detailed presentation by the directorate outlined the comprehensive overview of 269 projects spanning various sectors including higher education, education, health, transportation, agriculture, youth and sports, as well as administrative facilities for the justice, local authorities, communication and finance sectors. The data presented indicated significant progress in the completion rates of these projects.
Minister Wali Rabhi emphasized the importance of accelerating the pace of work to ensure timely project completion, particularly those related to the education sector. He stressed the necessity of resolving the financial situations of construction companies to guarantee the continuity of work and achieve the desired outcomes. He further directed officials to closely monitor the quality of work being performed.
The council also addressed the province-wide campaign to clean and prepare neighborhood markets for Ramadan. Provincial directorates presented detailed plans regarding the material and human resources mobilized by public institutions to ensure the success of the initiative. The plan includes a program for improving markets both internally and externally across all municipalities, with the aim of providing a clean and healthy environment for citizens during the holy month. The council aims to ensure all markets are properly equipped and sanitary for the increase in shoppers during Ramadan.
The Executive Council reiterated its commitment to ensuring the well-being of citizens and providing a positive environment during Ramadan.
