Algiers – Prime Minister Sifi Ghrib announced today the launch of workshops designed to address the professional and social concerns within the transportation sector. The announcement came during a meeting with representatives of the National Syndicate of Taxi Drivers.
According to the Prime Minister, these workshops will be “genuine working groups, operating within a defined timeframe, to tackle various professional and social issues and reduce the accumulated challenges within the transportation sector.”
The Prime Minister emphasized the special attention and keen interest that President Abdelmadjid Tebboune dedicates to the sector, underscoring its strategic importance to the nation. He reiterated the government’s commitment to finding sustainable solutions to the issues raised by transportation professionals.
The workshops are expected to cover a range of topics, including regulatory frameworks, social security benefits, and measures to improve the overall working conditions for taxi drivers and other transportation workers.
