Settler Attack North of Jerusalem Injures Palestinians, Foreign Nationals

A number of Palestinians and two foreign solidarity activists were injured Saturday evening in an attack by settlers on the Khaleh al-Sidra Bedouin community, located near the town of Mukhmas, northeast of occupied Jerusalem. Several homes and vehicles were also damaged in the assault.

According to reports, dozens of settlers launched a large-scale attack on the community, resulting in multiple injuries and the torching of two vehicles and eight homes. Witnesses stated that the settlers initiated the attack with live gunfire before proceeding to assault residents and vandalize their property.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that its crews treated two Palestinian citizens and two foreign nationals who sustained injuries during the attack. All injured individuals were subsequently transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Local sources emphasize that the Khaleh al-Sidra community faces daily harassment and attacks from settlers, part of a broader effort to forcibly displace the residents and pave the way for the construction of new settlement projects on their land. This latest incident underscores the escalating tensions and ongoing violence in the area.

In a separate incident on Saturday evening, settlers attacked a vehicle near the entrance of the village of Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. Security sources confirmed that the vehicle sustained damage in the attack, although no injuries were reported.
