General Saïd Chengriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, commenced an official visit to the State of Qatar today, Sunday. The visit centers around participation in the 9th edition of the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2026), according to a statement released by the Ministry of National Defence.
The Ministry’s statement specifies that the visit is at the invitation of Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Mannai, Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces.
During his stay in Qatar, General Chengriha is scheduled to hold meetings with senior Qatari officials. These discussions will focus on exploring avenues to strengthen bilateral military cooperation between Algeria and Qatar.
