Algiers – Algeria has secured the top global ranking in the number of activities organized during the 17th edition of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2025, according to the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN). This achievement underscores Algeria’s commitment to fostering a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises released a statement highlighting the significant contributions from various stakeholders in the national entrepreneurship landscape. This widespread participation aimed at promoting entrepreneurial culture and encouraging innovation throughout the country.
The GEW edition was held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and witnessed extensive involvement from ministerial departments, enterprise support organizations, startups, micro-enterprises, and both national and international partners. This coordinated national effort played a pivotal role in Algeria’s global success, elevating its position in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation.
The Ministry’s statement further emphasized that Algeria’s participation in GEW reflects a strong national mobilization and the dedication of various entities to entrepreneurial development. The events of this edition embodied the motto “Together, We Build,” focusing on strengthening collaboration among different actors and launching innovative initiatives to develop the business environment and promote innovation in Algeria.
