Severe Thunderstorms and Cold Wave Expected Across Several Regions

DZWatch Weather Center is reporting a significant cold wave accompanied by locally heavy thunderstorms impacting several wilayas across the nation today, Sunday. Residents are urged to take necessary precautions.

A weather alert indicates locally significant thunderstorms are expected from 3:00 PM today, Sunday, until 3:00 AM tomorrow, Monday. The following wilayas are under this alert: Tipaza, Algiers, Boumerdes, Blida, Medea, Ain Defla, Beni Abbes, Timimoun, Adrar, and Tindouf.

Additionally, another alert forecasts locally significant thunderstorms from midnight tonight until dawn tomorrow, Monday, for the following wilayas: Jijel, El Tarf, Guelma, Souk Ahras, and Oum El Bouaghi.

Furthermore, a severe cold wave is predicted to persist until dawn tomorrow, Monday, affecting the wilayas of Laghouat, El Bayadh, Naama, and Bechar. Residents in these areas should prepare for significantly lower temperatures.
