President Tebboune Holds Extensive Meeting with Saudi Interior Minister

Algiers – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune convened a comprehensive meeting with His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and his accompanying delegation, today at the Presidential Palace.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Algeria and Saudi Arabia, particularly in the areas of security cooperation and combating transnational crime. Discussions also centered on regional security issues and exploring opportunities for further collaboration on matters of mutual interest.

During the session, President Tebboune reiterated Algeria’s commitment to fostering closer ties with Saudi Arabia and highlighted the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation to address shared challenges. The Saudi Interior Minister conveyed the greetings of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, emphasizing the Kingdom’s desire to deepen its strategic partnership with Algeria.

The meeting provided a platform for both sides to exchange views on a range of pertinent issues and to reaffirm their commitment to working together to promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.

Also present at the meeting were Boualem Boualem, the Director of the President’s Office, and Said Saayoud, the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transportation. Their presence underscores the importance Algeria places on this strategic partnership.

This meeting marks a significant step in reinforcing the already strong relationship between Algeria and Saudi Arabia, paving the way for enhanced collaboration in various sectors.
