ALGIERS – Prime Minister Sifi Gherib chaired a government meeting on Wednesday dedicated to examining several key dossiers.
At the start of the session, the government continued its review of the draft executive decree outlining the conditions and procedures for engaging in audiovisual production and filming audiovisual works. This initiative falls under the completion of the implementing texts related to the law on audiovisual activity. This text is expected to establish a comprehensive regulatory framework for audiovisual production and filming, while also integrating digital solutions and means into the submission and processing of related requests.
Furthermore, the government heard a presentation on the mechanisms and programs proposed for the responsible and sustainable care of assisted children who are over 18 years of age. This concerns a category of individuals for whom public authorities are working to establish a specific framework for care and support, ensuring independence and sustainable professional and social integration without obstacles.
Finally, the government listened to a presentation on the National Climate Change Adaptation Plan, a strategic tool aimed at strengthening Algeria’s ability to cope with the effects of climate change and environmental challenges. To this end, the plan identifies the impacts on water resources, agriculture, health, and ecosystems. It also provides practical tools, such as risk mapping and local adaptation plans.
