Education Ministry Clarifies Pre-Integration Training for Teachers

The Ministry of National Education has affirmed that the pre-integration training program slated for three ranks of teachers is a mandatory legal requirement for their integration. This initiative aims to expedite the process through which these teachers can benefit from new ranks and associated salary increases, immediately upon completion of the training.

In a statement released today, the Ministry addressed inaccuracies circulating on social media and within some union circles. The training will be conducted every Saturday for a period of four months, totaling 80 hours. This duration represents the minimum agreed upon by the Ministry of National Education and the General Directorate of Public Service and Administrative Reform, while also taking the holy month into consideration. Furthermore, the practical training component will take place within the educational institutions where the teachers are currently employed.

The Ministry emphasized that the training curriculum will specifically address the knowledge and skills required for the new ranks. Eligible teachers will receive the benefits associated with these ranks immediately after successfully completing the training program.

Who Benefits and Who is Excluded?

Primary School Teachers: Teachers with seniority ranging from four years to less than seven years as of December 31, 2024, are eligible for integration into higher ranks, including First Grade, Second Grade, and Distinguished Professor.

Middle School Teachers: Teachers with seniority ranging from four years to less than seven years as of the same date are also eligible for integration into higher ranks.

Secondary School Teachers: Similarly, teachers with seniority ranging from four years to less than seven years are eligible for training to integrate into higher ranks.

The Ministry also clarified that some teachers, based on their current rank or years of service, will directly benefit from the advantages of the new ranks without undergoing the pre-integration training, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
