President Tebboune Chairs Council of Ministers Meeting

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defence, is currently presiding over a meeting of the Council of Ministers.

According to a statement released by the Presidency, the council will discuss presentations concerning the launch of the zinc and lead mine in Oued Amizour. The meeting will also focus on monitoring the progress of the mining railway project connecting Bled El Hadba, Oued El Keberit, and the port of Annaba. This railway line is crucial for transporting extracted and produced phosphate and fertilizers.

Furthermore, the Council of Ministers will examine the measures and arrangements implemented to ensure adequate market supply during the upcoming month of Ramadan. Ensuring stable supplies and prices during this period is a key priority for the government.

The meeting underscores the government’s commitment to developing Algeria’s mining sector and improving its infrastructure to support economic growth.
