President Abdelmadjid Tebboune chaired a Council of Ministers meeting today, focusing on key economic and infrastructure projects. Discussions included updates on the zinc and lead mine project in Oued Amizour, as well as progress on the railway line connecting Bled El Hadba, Oued El Keberit, and the port of Annaba, crucial for transporting phosphates and fertilizers.
During the meeting, President Tebboune instructed the Minister of Sports to convey his heartfelt congratulations to the national football team, its technical staff, and head coach Vladimir Petkovic. The President expressed his best wishes for a successful journey towards the upcoming World Cup, offering encouragement and support to the team.
President Tebboune also extended special greetings to the Algerian fans, particularly those from the diaspora who traveled from across the globe to support the national team during the Africa Cup of Nations. He acknowledged their unwavering dedication and passionate support, recognizing their significant contribution to the team’s morale and performance.
The Council of Ministers meeting also addressed other critical issues, including directives for supporting and reducing the costs of Hajj pilgrimages to 82 million centimes. Furthermore, President Tebboune instructed the immediate commencement of work on the Oued Amizour mining project.
