Mohamed Touil Appointed Head of RND Parliamentary Group

Algiers – Mohamed Touil has been appointed as the new head of the parliamentary group for the Rassemblement National Démocratique (RND) in the People’s National Assembly. The appointment was made by the Secretary-General of the RND, Moundhir Boudhen.

Touil, a representative for the Chlef province, assumes the leadership position, succeeding Abdelghani Toumi. This marks a return to the helm for Touil, who previously held the position of president of the RND parliamentary group from the beginning of the legislative term in 2021 until March 2025.

The change in leadership comes at a crucial time as the parliament continues to address key legislative priorities. Touil’s experience within the Assembly and his familiarity with the RND’s political agenda are expected to provide stability and direction to the parliamentary group.

DZWatch will continue to monitor developments within the People’s National Assembly and provide updates on the RND’s role in shaping national policy.
