State Minister Attaf Meets with Tunisian President Saied

State Minister Ahmed Attaf, also serving as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad and African Affairs, was received this morning by the President of Tunisia, Kais Saied. This meeting took place within the framework of Minister Attaf’s official visit to Tunisia to participate in the Ministerial Meeting of the Tripartite Mechanism of Neighboring Countries of Libya.

During the meeting, Minister Attaf conveyed to the Tunisian President the greetings of his brother, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his aspiration to continue joint efforts aimed at achieving further gains in strengthening Algerian-Tunisian relations. This aligns with the integrated vision they share for the present and future of the partnership between the two sister countries.

The encounter provided an opportunity to review various aspects of bilateral cooperation in light of the significant outcomes and qualitative results achieved during the 23rd session of the Algerian-Tunisian High Joint Commission. Emphasis was placed on the need to translate these outcomes into practical projects and tangible achievements that further enhance the relations between the two nations.

Regarding the situation in neighboring Libya, the critical importance of the Tripartite Mechanism of Neighboring Countries was highlighted. This mechanism, holding a new session in Tunisia, aims to explore the best ways to provide support and assistance to the Libyan people, enabling them to overcome their crisis, reunite, and preserve their country’s sovereignty, unity, and independence.

This visit underscores the commitment of both Algeria and Tunisia to fostering stronger bilateral ties and working collaboratively to address regional challenges. The focus remains on implementing concrete measures that benefit both nations and contribute to stability in the region.
