Analyst: ‘Peace Council’ Mirrors Trump Org, Destined for Obscurity

An American analyst predicts the ‘Peace Council,’ spearheaded by former U.S. President Donald Trump, will fade into obscurity, remembered only as a testament to Trump’s self-aggrandizement. Launched officially at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the council’s future is already in question.

According to the analyst, the council’s unveiling appeared to be an attempt by Trump to refute accusations of being a warmonger who disregards international law and global public opinion. This comes after previous controversial attempts to explore acquiring Greenland.

The analyst argues that regardless of the differences between Greenland and the ‘Peace Council,’ Trump’s motivation remains consistent: a desire to operate without constraints, to do as he pleases, and to profit immensely.

The analyst suggests the UN Security Council, in approving the creation of the ‘Peace Council’ in November 2025, was unaware it was establishing a rival organization to the United Nations itself. The initial intent was to create a governance mechanism for post-war Gaza. However, the council’s scope, as revealed in Davos, extends far beyond Gaza, encompassing virtually the entire world.

The founding charter of the council concentrates all power in the hands of Trump. He possesses the authority to invite nations to join, veto decisions, dissolve the council, adopt resolutions or directives, and even approve the official seal of the council.

Commenting on Trump’s expansive powers, the analyst stated that this governance model resembles the ‘Trump Organization’ more closely than the collective leadership of the United Nations or NATO. This comparison is apt, the analyst adds, because the Peace Council, as envisioned by the former President, aims to amass substantial wealth. Membership for longer than three years requires significant investment.

The analyst concludes that the council’s structure and purpose point towards a self-serving venture rather than a genuine effort to promote global peace. Its long-term viability is therefore doubtful.
