Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received today at the ministry’s headquarters the ambassadors of Arab countries that have been subjected to military attacks in the context of the current wave of escalation in the region.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that the meetings were held based on directives from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, following the serious and rapid developments in the Arabian Gulf region.
During the meeting, the Foreign Minister expressed Algeria’s full solidarity with the brotherly Arab countries affected by the military attacks, emphasizing the country’s categorical rejection of any violation of the national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security of the people of these brotherly nations.
In the same context, Minister Ahmed Attaf stressed Algeria’s permanent support for its Arab brothers in the face of the unacceptable violations they have been subjected to and the resulting human and material damage.
The Minister also reaffirmed Algeria’s position calling for an immediate halt to all forms of escalation and the prioritization of dialogue and restraint, to spare the region further tension and prevent the expansion of the conflict and its dangerous repercussions on regional and international security.
