Algerian Government Committed to Empowering Youth Potential in All Fields

The Algerian Government, represented by the Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, has reaffirmed its dedication to creating the necessary conditions for the youth to fully express their potential across various domains. Emphasizing the significance of education, culture, and training, Arkab highlighted these as priorities in building a modern and prosperous Algeria.

Speaking at a prize distribution ceremony for winners of a national writing competition organized by Sonatrach, the national oil company, Arkab noted Sonatrach’s pivotal role in the nation’s economic and social development. Besides its primary responsibilities, the company actively contributes to the educational sector, striving for excellence in all domains.

The Minister elaborated on Sonatrach’s involvement in the Digital School project initiated by the Ministry of National Education, as well as its efforts in enhancing school transportation and supporting government initiatives to improve schooling conditions.

Arkab also mentioned the significance of the event organized by Sonatrach, marking the 60th anniversary of the company’s foundation. He described the rich program of celebrations as a testament to Sonatrach’s achievements and its commitment as a corporate citizen to support the Algerian education system and encourage national talents in energy, environmental protection, and other fields.

After a preliminary evaluation by the Ministry of National Education and a final assessment by the National Writing Competition Committee, sixty literary works were selected, symbolizing the 60th anniversary of Sonatrach’s establishment, with sixty winners being recognized for their contributions.
