Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez stated that a war on Iran will not lead to a fairer international order, nor will it result in higher salaries, better public services, or a healthier environment.
Sánchez said that “we will cooperate with the countries of the region seeking peace through diplomatic and material means.” He emphasized that “this is how the great disasters of humanity begin, and we cannot gamble with the fate of millions.”
It is noted that US President Donald Trump had previously threatened to halt trade with Spain after the country refused to allow the US military to use its bases for missions related to strikes against Iran.
