Chengriha checks on those injured in military plane crash

This morning, General Saïd Chengriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army, visited the Central Army Hospital in Ain Naadja to check on the health of those injured in a military transport plane crash.

According to a Ministry of Defense statement, this visit follows the tragic accident that occurred on March 5, 2026, when a small BE 1900 military transport plane crashed shortly after taking off from the runway of the Boufarik Air Base in the First Military Region. The crash resulted in the martyrdom of two officers and left the remaining crew members with injuries of varying severity.

During the visit, the General assessed the health status of the injured and reviewed the level of medical care provided to them. He also offered moral support to the injured and their families, wishing them a speedy recovery and a quick return to their loved ones.
