Algeria and Ankara Review Calendar of Upcoming Bilateral Events

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lounes Magramane, co-chaired the third session of Algerian-Turkish political consultations in Istanbul on Friday, alongside the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Musa Kulaklikaya.

A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the talks were characterized by praise for the historical ties and the distinguished level that Algerian-Turkish relations have reached over the past few years. Both parties also commended the significant steps being taken to consolidate the partnership between them in various fields, particularly in the economic and trade sectors.

The discussions also allowed for a review of the calendar of upcoming bilateral events and an exploration of ways to fully utilize them to enhance cooperation and partnership, in line with the vision and will of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

During these political consultations, the two sides exchanged views and analyses, consistent with the established traditions of consultation between the two countries, regarding several regional and international issues of common interest. These were led by developments in the Middle East and the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as the issue of Western Sahara and the Sahel region, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement.
