Price of imported Eid sacrifice sheep set at less than 5 million centimes

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during a Council of Ministers meeting, decreed that the selling price of imported sacrifice animals for citizens must not exceed a maximum of 50,000 Algerian dinars.

A statement issued following the meeting indicated that the President directed government agencies to strictly monitor the importation and marketing of the livestock, while cracking down on all forms of fraud, smuggling, and speculation.

It is worth noting that it was previously decided to import one million head of sheep in anticipation of Eid al-Adha.
