The National Meteorological Office reported the continuation of heavy thunderstorms across several provinces of the country.
A weather alert issued this Monday warned of continued heavy thunderstorms until 9:00 PM in the provinces of Algiers, Tipaza, Boumerdes, Saida, Tiaret, and Tissemsilt.
Another alert indicated heavy thunderstorms starting from noon today and continuing until 9:00 PM in the provinces of Blida, Medea, Ain Defla, Bouira, Tizi Ouzou, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Setif, Mila, Constantine, Guelma, Souk Ahras, Oum El Bouaghi, Batna, Khenchela, Tebessa, Annaba, and El Tarf.
The same services also forecast heavy thunderstorms starting from 9:00 PM tonight until dawn on Tuesday in the provinces of Tlemcen, Ain Temouchent, Sidi Bel Abbes, Mascara, Oran, Mostaganem, Relizane, and Chlef.
Additionally, the provinces of Illizi, In Salah, Djanet, and Tamanrasset will experience continued heavy local thunderstorms until dawn on Tuesday.
