The services of the Ministry of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation recorded the compliance of 55,738 traders with the duty rota system during the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
A statement from the ministry indicated that the first day saw widespread compliance to ensure the continuity of supply for basic materials and essential services, which is a positive indicator reflecting an increasing awareness of the importance of respecting the duty program.
According to details provided by the ministry, only 5 traders failed to comply out of a total of 55,743 mobilized traders.
On the other hand, the ministry’s services did not record any reports of non-compliance through the “Morafeq Com” electronic application.
Data from the application also showed 36,895 searches for on-duty traders, confirming its importance as an effective digital guide that facilitates citizens’ access to information regarding points of sale and available services.
The ministry praised the sense of responsibility shown by the on-duty traders and commended their commitment and eagerness to provide services to citizens during this religious occasion.
