Civil Protection services intervened today at 04:37 following the collapse of a building consisting of a ground floor plus two stories (G+2) on Abdallah Street in the old city of Souika, within the municipality and district of Constantine.
According to the same services, a 46-year-old individual who was trapped inside the building was rescued. The person was suffering from dizziness and breathing difficulties, received first aid on-site, and was subsequently transported to the local hospital.
The services also confirmed that the operation is still ongoing.
