The National Meteorological Office has reported thunderstorms and strong winds across several provinces. In an alert issued this Wednesday, significant thunderstorms with rainfall amounts exceeding 40 mm are expected until 6:00 PM today in the provinces of Béchar, Adrar, and Bordj Badji Mokhtar.
Another alert indicated thunderstorms with rainfall exceeding 50 mm starting from noon today until noon tomorrow, Thursday, in the provinces of Béni Abbès and Tindouf.
The meteorological office also forecasted thunderstorms from noon today until midnight in the provinces of Tlemcen, Sidi Bel Abbès, Saïda, Tiaret, Djelfa, Laghouat, El Bayadh, Naâma, and Timimoun.
Furthermore, weather services warned of strong winds accompanied by heavy sandstorms, starting from noon today until midnight, in the provinces of Tamanrasset, In Guezzam, and Bordj Badji Mokhtar.
