The Ministry of Finance announced on Thursday the extension of the subscription period for sovereign Sukuk (Ijara type) until April 30. This move aims to expand the participation base and enable the largest number of investors, including both institutions and individuals, to contribute to this significant financial endeavor.
In a statement, the Ministry explained that these Sukuk are investment products compliant with Islamic Sharia principles. They aim to finance projects of public economic benefit and provide subscribers with secure, tax-exempt periodic returns.
The Ministry also invited all those wishing to complete the subscription process or inquire further to visit the participating public and private banks through various points of sale.
