Oil prices continued their gains on Monday, as Brent crude headed toward a record monthly increase.
Brent crude futures jumped $2.43, or 2.16 percent, to reach $115 per barrel, after closing up 4.2 percent last Friday.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also rose to $101.50 per barrel, an increase of $1.86, or 1.87 percent, following a 5.5 percent rise in the previous session.
