The ship “Falcon” docked on Tuesday at pier 22/2 at the Port of Algiers, arriving from Romania carrying a shipment of imported sheep for Eid al-Adha.
According to a statement from the Port of Algiers Authority, this operation is part of the policy adopted by the President of the Republic aimed at ensuring the national market is supplied with sacrificial animals for Eid. It also implements instructions from the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport to take the necessary organizational measures to facilitate this process.
In accordance with the regulatory framework for handling livestock vessels, port services have prepared all human and logistical resources to process the ship. This ensures the unloading of the sacrificial animals under the best conditions before they are transferred to designated reception sites.
