The National Agency for the Valorization of Hydrocarbon Resources (ALNAFT) announced on Wednesday that the official launch date for the next “Bid Round” international tender will be April 19, 2026, explaining that this process will include seven exploration areas.
The statement indicated that this new phase is part of the continuity of the previously launched path and represents a structural step for implementing the national strategy for the valorization of hydrocarbon resources.
ALNAFT explained that the seven proposed areas in this tender will be offered in accordance with current legislation and regulations, as well as international standards regarding transparency and competitiveness.
The “Bid Round” international tender is an open mechanism that allows oil companies to submit their bids to obtain exploration areas within a framework described by the agency as “clear, fair, and stimulating” for investment. Additional information regarding the relevant areas, participation conditions, and the detailed schedule of the process will be provided later, according to the statement.
