Several measures were taken on Thursday aimed at improving working conditions and enhancing performance within Algérie Poste. According to a statement from the relevant ministry, this was decided during a meeting dedicated to studying professional and social files related to the institution’s employees.
The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, in the presence of the Director General of Algérie Poste, Shiraz Bachiri, the Secretary General of the National Federation of Post and Telecommunications Workers, Mohamed Bourouba, and the Secretary General of the Post Union, Mohamed Mahdi Bourayou.
During the meeting, a set of measures aimed at improving working conditions and enhancing performance within the institution was agreed upon. The meeting concluded with the initiation of a review of the collective agreement for Algérie Poste, which has not been updated since 2013, to adapt it to the professional and organizational developments witnessed by the sector.
Additionally, work will be done to find new organizational mechanisms that allow employees to benefit from two days of rest per week without affecting the continuity of public service provided to citizens on Saturdays. It was also decided to launch a process to reclassify post offices across the country, in line with the actual volume of activity for each office, allowing for improved management and more effective distribution of human resources.
This meeting is part of the ministry’s ongoing commitment to dialogue between sector institutions and social partners. The goal is to enhance professional stability and improve working conditions, which will positively reflect on the quality of services provided to citizens.
