Major General Abdelhafid Bakhouch, the Director-General of Customs, stated that customs, through the implementation of reforms, particularly a management system enhancing control mechanisms, aims to improve the investment climate.
During his speech at the celebration of World Customs Day held at the Army Hotel in Beni Messous, Bakhouch highlighted the launch of an information system in December 2023. This system, with a robust infrastructure, contributes to providing global digital services, facilitating partnerships.
Bakhouch emphasized that the customs apparatus relies on a comprehensive training system, including recycling programs and continuous training. He stressed that “Algerian customs aims to become a hub for customs training, especially in the training of foreign officers.”
