Algeria has taken a landmark step in its national innovation journey with the official launch of its first-ever startup cluster dedicated to Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, held at the Martyr Abdelhafiدh Ihaddaden Science and Technology Pole in Sidi Abdellah.
The launch was jointly overseen by Minister of Higher Education Kamal Baddari, Minister of Knowledge Economy Noureddine Wadeh, and Minister of Post and Telecommunications Sid Ali Zerrouki — signaling strong inter-ministerial commitment to building a robust national innovation ecosystem.
The cluster represents a qualitative leap in structuring Algeria’s entrepreneurial landscape through advanced grouping mechanisms, accelerating the transformation of innovative projects into impactful economic enterprises.
The initiative directly implements a joint ministerial decree governing the creation and organization of startup groupings, deepening synergy between universities, scientific research institutions, and the economic sector — ushering in a new era of collaborative innovation across Algeria.
