Algerian-Turkish Parliamentary Talks in Istanbul Aim to Deepen Bilateral Ties

Algerian National People’s Assembly Speaker Ibrahim Boughali was received Saturday in Istanbul by Turkish Grand National Assembly President Numan Kurtulmuş, on the sidelines of the 152nd Inter-Parliamentary Union General Assembly.

The meeting, exclusively confirmed to dzwatch, provided an opportunity to review the state of Algerian-Turkish bilateral relations, with both sides exchanging views on ways to strengthen and develop cooperation across multiple sectors, serving their common interests and reflecting deep historical bonds.

The two sides also discussed the level of parliamentary cooperation between their respective legislative institutions, stressing the importance of intensifying coordination and elevating parliamentary diplomacy to support issues of shared international concern.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Speaker Mohamed Anwar Bouchouait, MP Farida Alymi, and Senate members Fateh Boutabik and Kamal Khalifati.
