Algeria-Chad Business Council Holds Inaugural Session to Boost Economic Partnership

The first session of the Algeria-Chad Business Council convened Monday in Algiers, bringing together economic operators from both nations to explore cooperation opportunities and forge strategic partnerships.

The session was inaugurated at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, co-chaired by Minister Kamal Rezig alongside Chad’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mathieu Guibolo Fanga.

Speaking exclusively to dzwatch, Minister Rezig described the session as “an important milestone” in strengthening Algeria-Chad economic ties, stressing that the Council translates “historical brotherhood into concrete economic partnerships and joint investment projects.”

Rezig emphasized that the Council reflects the strong political will of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby to advance African economic integration through existing capacities, including developing air connectivity between Algiers and N’Djamena and activating the Trans-African Highway (Algiers-Lagos).

Chad’s minister praised the initiative as a crucial step, highlighting his country’s vast economic potential and inviting Algerian businesses to explore investment opportunities under a balanced win-win partnership framework.
