Algerian tech leader Djezzy and the Algerian Mobile Phone Industry (INATEL) have signed a landmark framework partnership agreement, marking a pivotal step toward strengthening Algeria’s technological sovereignty.
The agreement was signed by INATEL CEO Hicham Tibira and Djezzy Director General Boumediene Senoussi on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Djezzy’s headquarters in Hydra.
Under the deal, INATEL’s advanced security systems and solutions will be integrated into Djezzy’s extensive distribution network, enriching its portfolio with 100% Algerian-made products.
The partnership directly targets surging national demand for secure payment and connectivity solutions, while actively contributing to the growth of Algeria’s national economy by prioritizing local expertise.
The agreement also includes digitizing points of sale and optimizing commercial operations to deliver faster, more efficient customer experiences. Both companies told dzwatch that this collaboration forms the foundation of a sustainable digital ecosystem generating real added value for Algeria.
