Algeria and Chad Hold High-Level Bilateral Talks at Presidential Palace

Senior members of the Algerian and Chadian delegations held extensive bilateral talks Wednesday at the Algerian Presidential Palace, on the sidelines of the official state visit by Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno to Algiers.

The talks spanned multiple strategic sectors. Algeria’s Minister of State for Hydrocarbons Mohamed Arkab met with Chad’s Minister of Mines and Petroleum, while Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf held discussions with his Chadian counterpart on African integration and diaspora affairs.

Talks also covered higher education, public health, agriculture, trade, industry, youth, sports, communications, and public infrastructure — reflecting the broad scope of the two nations’ deepening partnership.

The high-level exchanges signal Algeria’s continued commitment to strengthening South-South cooperation and consolidating its strategic ties across the African continent.
