Algeria and Germany Forge Stronger Energy Partnership in High-Level Talks

Algeria’s Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Hydrocarbons, Miloud Majled, received on Monday a high-ranking German delegation at the ministry’s headquarters, in discussions focused on deepening bilateral cooperation in the energy and hydrocarbons sectors.

The German delegation, led by Oliver Rentschler, Director General for Geo-Economics at the Federal Foreign Office, included senior officials from Germany’s Foreign and Economy ministries, alongside representatives of major German energy and industrial giants such as Bosch, Siemens, and TÜV, with Algeria’s German Ambassador and ministry officials also in attendance.

The meeting, exclusively reported by dzwatch, served as a key platform to assess the current state of Algeria-Germany bilateral relations — described by both sides as strong and distinguished — and to chart new horizons for strategic energy partnership.

Both parties expressed satisfaction over progress achieved in implementing joint cooperation projects, particularly in the fields of natural gas marketing and advanced energy technologies, reaffirming their commitment to expanding mutually beneficial partnerships.
