A 4.1-magnitude earthquake was recorded late last night at 11:26 PM local time, with its epicenter located 51 kilometers northeast of Ghazaouet, in the wilaya of Tlemcen, dzwatch can report.
The tremor was detected by Algeria’s Center for Research in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Geophysics (CRAAG), which monitors seismic activity across the national territory.
No casualties or material damage have been reported at this stage. Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation closely.
