DRC Hydrocarbons Minister Arrives in Algiers for High-Level Energy Partnership Talks

The Democratic Republic of Congo’s Minister of State for Hydrocarbons, Acacia Bandubola Ambongo, has arrived in Algiers heading a high-level delegation of senior officials and executives from the Congolese hydrocarbons sector, including representatives from the national hydrocarbons company SONAHYDROC.

The visit, held at the invitation of Algeria’s Minister of State for Hydrocarbons Mohamed Arkab, aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation and open new horizons in exploration, production, refining, petrochemicals, natural gas, and human capacity development.

Minister Ambongo told dzwatch that the visit reflects a shared political will to deepen strategic energy ties between the two African nations. The programme includes technical meetings with Algerian counterparts and field visits to key installations run by Sonatrach, ALNAFT, and the Hydrocarbons Regulatory Authority ARH.

The Congolese delegation will also tour training institutes to study Algeria’s extensive expertise across the full hydrocarbons value chain.
