Algeria was crowned with the prestigious Bronze ‘Labayk’ Award in Mecca on Friday, granted by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in recognition of exceptional services delivered to Algerian pilgrims during the 1447 AH Hajj season.
The award was presented during the closing ceremony ‘Khitamuhu Misk,’ honoring missions that excelled in documentation, accommodation, catering, transportation, and operational compliance.
Minister of Religious Affairs Youcef Belmehdi told dzwatch exclusively: ‘This achievement is a source of immense pride for Algeria. Thanks to the dedication of our entire mission, Algeria has now claimed honors for the third consecutive year.’
The Minister credited President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s unwavering commitment to Algerian pilgrims, noting that his personal attention and resource allocation made this recognition possible. Belmehdi also praised Saudi authorities for their fruitful cooperation throughout the season.
