Algeria Secures Bronze ‘Labaytum’ Award for Exemplary Hajj Pilgrim Services

Algeria has been honored with the bronze 'Labaytum' award at Mecca, presented by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. This prestigious recognition acknowledges the exceptional efforts of the Algerian mission in providing outstanding services to pilgrims during the 1447 H Hajj season.

The award ceremony took place during the 'Khetamouhou Misk' event, held to mark the conclusion of the Hajj season. The Algerian delegation received the bronze award for its exemplary organization and delivery of services related to the Hajj rituals. The evaluation criteria encompassed the documentation of procedures, accommodation and catering contracts, internal and external transportation, and adherence to operational standards.

Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Youcef Belmehdi, expressed pride in this achievement, noting that it is the third consecutive year Algeria has been recognized with awards for its Hajj services. He attributed this success to the dedicated efforts of all mission members and the special attention given by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Algerian pilgrims, ensuring they have the necessary resources to perform their rituals under the best conditions.

Minister Belmehdi also lauded the mission members for reflecting an honorable image of Algeria and bringing joy to Algerian pilgrims through this accomplishment. He congratulated the pilgrims on completing their Hajj and wished them a blessed pilgrimage.

Furthermore, the Minister extended his gratitude to the Saudi authorities for their fruitful cooperation and coordination, which were instrumental in the success of the Hajj season. He expressed hope for Algeria to continue its achievements across various sectors.
