New York – Algeria has taken a decisive step by submitting a Security Council draft resolution, which recommends the General Assembly to accept the State of Palestine as a full member of the United Nations. Colored in blue, this move signifies the final procedural step before the resolution is put to a vote by the Security Council members.
This initiative follows intensive efforts by the Algerian diplomatic corps, directed by the explicit instructions of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who has mandated the mobilization of maximum support to facilitate Palestine’s attainment of full membership in the United Nations.
