Algeria Honored with Bronze ‘Labaytum’ Award for Excellence in Pilgrim Services

Algeria has been honored with the bronze 'Labaytum' award by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Mecca. The prestigious accolade recognizes the exceptional services provided by Algerian missions to pilgrims during the Hajj season of 1447 AH.

The award ceremony, held as part of the 'Khetamouhou Misk' event marking the conclusion of the Hajj season, celebrated Algeria's exemplary efforts in organizing and delivering services related to the Hajj rituals. The evaluation criteria encompassed crucial aspects such as procedural documentation, accommodation and catering contracts, internal and external transportation arrangements, and adherence to operational standards.

Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Youcef Belmehdi, expressed immense pride in this achievement, noting that it is the third consecutive year Algeria has received such distinctions. He attributed this success to the dedicated efforts of all mission members, which have consistently placed Algeria on the podium of recognition.

Minister Belmehdi further highlighted the significant attention President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has given to Algerian pilgrims, emphasizing the president's commitment to ensuring all necessary resources are available to facilitate the smooth performance of their religious duties. He also commended the mission members for reflecting an honorable image of Algeria and bringing joy to the pilgrims through this accomplishment. The Minister extended congratulations to the Algerian pilgrims for completing their rituals and wished them a blessed Hajj.

In his remarks, the Minister conveyed his gratitude to the Saudi authorities for their fruitful cooperation and coordination, which were instrumental in the success of the Hajj season. He expressed aspirations for Algeria to continue its achievements across various sectors.
