Algeria's national football team coach, Vladimir Petkovic, has unveiled the highly anticipated squad of 26 players, plus one reserve, selected for the 2026 World Cup.

The announcement was made during a press conference at the "Mohamed Sellah" conference hall within the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki. The Algerian squad, placed in Group J, will face formidable opponents including defending champions Argentina, Jordan, and Austria in the tournament scheduled from June 11 to July 19, 2026. Their opening matches are set for June 17, 23, and 28 respectively.
The national team has commenced its preparation camp at the National Technical Center (CTN) in Sidi Moussa. To further refine their readiness, the Greens will participate in two friendly matches. The first friendly is scheduled against the Netherlands on June 3 in Rotterdam, followed by a match against Bolivia on June 10 in Kansas City, USA.
The selected 27 players are:
Goalkeepers: Luca Zidane (FC Granada/Spain), Oussama Benbot (USM Alger), Abdellatif Ramdane (MC Alger), and Melvin Mastil (FC Stade Nyonnais/Switzerland).
Defenders: Achraf Abada (USM Alger), Rayan Aït-Nouri (Manchester City/England), Zinédine Belaïd (JS Kabylie), Rafik Belghali (Hellas Verona/Italy), Ramy Bensebaïni (Borussia Dortmund/Germany), Mehdi Dorval (SSC Bari/Italy), Aïssa Mandi (Lille OSC/France), Jaouen Hadjam (BSC Young Boys/Switzerland), and Mohamed Amine Tougaï (ES Tunis/Tunisia).
Midfielders: Hicham Boudaoui (OGC Nice/France), Ramiz Zerrouki (FC Twente/Netherlands), Yacine Titraoui (SC Charleroi/Belgium), Nabil Bentaleb (Lille OSC/France), Ibrahim Maza (Bayer Leverkusen/Germany), Houssem Aouar (Al-Ittihad Jeddah/Saudi Arabia), and Fares Chaïbi (Eintracht Frankfurt/Germany).
