Algerian Volleyball Clubs Face Off in the African Club Championship Round of 16

Cairo – Algerian volleyball representatives, Blida Association and Widad Tlemcen, are set to confront Green Team from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwandan Police Club respectively in the Round of 16 of the 2024 African Clubs Championship (men’s category), scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday in Cairo, Egypt.

Blida Association, representing the city of roses, finished the group stage with four wins and one loss, and will kick off this round against Congo’s Green Team at 15:00 Algerian time. Widad Tlemcen will play its match against Rwandan Police Club later in the evening at 19:00.

Additionally, Tunisian club Mouloudia Bousalem, the defending champions, will face Zambia’s Green Buffalo.

In last year’s edition of the continental club championship, which took place in Tunisia, Mouloudia Bousalem clinched the title by defeating Egypt’s Zamalek Club. Meanwhile, Algerian club El Djil Essaâd Ouled Adouane secured third place in their debut appearance.
