Algeria's national football team, the Fennecs, are gearing up for the 2026 World Cup with the unveiling of their provisional 26-player squad, plus one additional player, by head coach Vladimir Petković. The announcement was made during a press conference at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki.

Set to compete in Group J of the global tournament, Algeria will face formidable opponents including reigning champions Argentina, Jordan, and Austria in their opening matches on June 17th, 23rd, and 28th, respectively. The squad has commenced its intensive preparation camp at the National Technical Center (CTN) in Sidi Moussa.
Further refining their strategy, the Fennecs will participate in two friendly matches. The first encounter is scheduled against the Netherlands on June 3rd in Rotterdam, followed by a match against Bolivia on June 10th in Kansas City, USA.
