Batna – Minister of Vocational Training and Education, Yacine Merabi, announced today in Batna that preparations are underway to launch applications and platforms related to pedagogy and partnership with the sector. The forthcoming media include the “Offers” application and the “English Learning,” “My Lessons,” and “Partnership” platforms, as highlighted during his supervision of the open day for civil society on the specialties of the vocational training and education sector. The event took place at the meeting hall of the Batna province headquarters, with the presence of local elected officials, civil society representatives, associations, sector executives, and was broadcast live via video conferencing technology for the benefit of various provincial directorates across the nation.

On this occasion, Mr. Merabi noted, “All these applications and platforms are the products of the sector’s family, including specialized teachers, trainees, and professionals, as part of the ministerial circle’s efforts to embody digital transformation in execution of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s directives on digitization as a vital area in enhancing the flexibility, speed, and efficiency of public facility management, especially in the governance of the economic sector through various ICT technologies.”

The digital platform “Management” is considered one of the primary new media at the sector level, containing the strategy set for the short term, which aims to add more flexibility and transparency to various domiciled activities and operations, highlighted as it was utilized in the open day in Batna to introduce the various specialties taught at sector institutions.

Mr. Merabi also mentioned the transition from internal service digitization to service-oriented digitization for training seekers, affiliates, and partners through the development of suitable digital software for each service. This includes the “My Profession” platform aimed at training seekers from all categories, where training offers at educational institutions nationwide are domiciled and used as the official means for initial online registration at each training entry.

After praising the vocational training and education sector’s reach in digitization through relying on the knowledge base of teachers, trainees, professionals, and their acquired expertise, the minister recalled the issuance of the first digital certificate with an electronic signature in the sector’s history, considering it a “qualitative leap” in the digitization journey of the sector as a product of these efforts and the resources provided by the state.

After listening to the concerns of the attendees, including civil society representatives and local elected officials, the minister reiterated the significant efforts made to integrate trainees and professionals within the economic sector and encourage them to create small enterprises through the support provided by the 52 accompanying centers belonging to the sector and located across the country, reminding of the 1,300 public training institutions equipped with 8,403 highly advanced devices and 900 private sector institutions.

On the margins of the open day on the specialties of the vocational training and education sector with the presence of civil society representatives, cooperation and partnership agreements were signed between the sector directorate locally and the health, industry, agriculture sectors, the Regional Fund for Agricultural Insurance and Cooperation, and the Algerian Diverse Textiles Establishment, SAFILCO Ain Jasser complex.

Subsequently, the minister, accompanied by the Governor of Batna, Mohamed Ben Malek, and the Deputy Governor of Barika, Saïd Boualzahab, visited the Algerian Industrial Textiles Establishment in the industrial area of Batna city and the National Institute Specialized in Vocational Training at Campaign 3 in Wadi Chaaba municipality, and later planned to visit some of his sector’s facilities in the delegated province of Barika, where he inaugurated the specialized institute in vocational training.
