Algiers is witnessing a significant upgrade in its infrastructure with the recent commissioning of several key projects designed to ease citizen mobility and alleviate traffic congestion. These initiatives are part of a strategic plan to modernize and develop the capital city.
Algiers infrastructure development projects
Among the newly operational projects is a new access route connecting National Road 63, which links the municipalities of Douera and Khraissia, to the second ring road. This vital link is situated near the Ali Ammar stadium in Douera.
Furthermore, a section of the dualization project for National Road 36, connecting Baba Hassan and Ouled Fayet, has been opened to traffic. This expansion aims to enhance connectivity between these important municipalities.
A new technical structure has also been inaugurated in the Bir Ou-Djebane area, facilitating traffic flow in both directions towards Staouali and Zeralda. This structure is part of the expansion of the entrances to the Sidi Fredj tourist development zone and the intersection leading to the Zeralda tourist complex. Its primary objective is to eliminate traffic intersection points and streamline movement.
These projects underscore the ongoing commitment to modernizing Algeria's infrastructure and significantly improving the daily commuting experience for its citizens.
