Air Algérie Establishes Dedicated Ground Handling Subsidiary, AH Ground Operations

Algerian Airlines (Air Algérie) has finalized a significant agreement to transform its ground handling activities into a dedicated subsidiary, AH Ground Operations (AH GO). The accord, signed on Monday, June 1, 2026, at the company's headquarters, marks a strategic move towards enhancing operational performance and integration within the airline group.

This initiative is part of Air Algérie's broader strategy to foster synergy and specialization among its various branches, aligning their functions with specific areas of activity. The aim is to boost operational efficiency, refine professional organization, and elevate overall performance.

The agreement was formally signed by Said Ben Azzouz, General Manager of Air Algérie, and Issam Ben Said, General Manager of AH Ground Operations. The ceremony was attended by Said Lemouchi, Secretary-General of the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA) at Air Algérie.

Establishing AH Ground Operations as a distinct entity for ground handling services represents a crucial step in Air Algérie's reorganization process. This move is expected to enhance operational flexibility, optimize resource utilization, reinforce the principle of specialization across its subsidiaries, and ultimately elevate the quality of services provided to the airline's customers and partners.
