The ministers also reviewed the current landscape in the Arab region and critical issues on the African Union's agenda ahead of continental deadlines in Egypt later this month. Meanwhile, in his meeting with Ms. Bianca Odumiego Ojoko, Nigeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Attaf congratulated her on her new role and explored avenues to bolster the exceptional ties between their countries. They also deliberated on developments in the Sahel region and explored collaborative efforts to promote peace and development through integrative structural projects.
Finally, Minister Attaf concluded his bilateral engagements with Antonio Téte, Angola's Minister of External Relations. This meeting served as an opportunity to review joint efforts aimed at sustaining the positive momentum in Algerian-Angolan relations. Discussions highlighted significant decisions recently made by the leaders of both nations in Algiers, pertaining to strengthening the institutional and legal framework, as well as consolidating and expanding sectoral cooperation.
