Algeria Mourns Passing of Esteemed Scholar Cheikh Si El Hadj Mohand Tayeb

Algeria is mourning the loss of esteemed scholar and translator, Cheikh Si El Hadj Mohand Tayeb, who passed away at the age of 92. His contributions to the service of the Holy Quran and his efforts in translating its meanings into the Amazigh language have been widely recognized.

President of the Council of the Nation, Azouz Nasri, conveyed his profound condolences to the bereaved family. He lauded the late scholar's dedication, stating, "It is with a heart resigned to the will of Allah that we learned of the passing of the scholar Cheikh Si El Hadj Mohand Tayeb, translator of the meanings of the Holy Quran into the Amazigh language and one of Algeria's eminent figures who successfully combined knowledge with patriotic commitment. He contributed to the dissemination of the noble precepts of Islam and the values of moderation and the middle path, dedicating his efforts to the service of the Holy Quran and the translation of its meanings into the Amazigh language."

Similarly, the President of the National People's Assembly (APN), Brahim Boughali, extended his sincere sympathies to the family of the Mujahid and scholar Si El Hadj Mohand Tayeb. "It is with deep sadness that I present my sincere condolences and express my full compassion following the passing of the Mujahid and scholar Si El Hadj Mohand Tayeb, who dedicated his life to serving the homeland, spreading knowledge, and defending its values," Boughali wrote in his condolence message, praying for God Almighty to encompass the deceased with His infinite mercy and welcome him into His vast paradise.
